What is PAO?
Period After Opening (PAO) tells you how long a cosmetic product is safe to use after you open it.
For example, a 6M symbol means the product should be used within 6 months after opening.
A 12M symbol means 12 months.
You can usually find the PAO symbol on the packaging as an open jar icon with a number followed by "M".
